                               RESOLUTION NO. 20143
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CARTER STREET
                   CORPORATION TO CONTRACT WITH DERTHICK,
                   HENLEY & WILKERSON AND WILLIAM MCDONOUGH,
                   ARCHITECTS, RELATIVE TO ARCHITECTURAL AND
                   PLANNING SERVICES FOR THE EXPANSION OF THE
                   TRADE CENTER, AT A TOTAL COST NOT TO EXCEED
                   TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($200,000.00),
                   HALF OF SAID COST TO BE PAID BY HAMILTON
                   COUNTY AND HALF OF SAID COST TO BE PAID BY
                   THE CITY, WHICH SUM IS TO BE PAID FROM THE
                   FUND BALANCE, AND THIS AUTHORIZATION IS ON
                   CONDITION THAT IF THIS PROJECT GOES FORWARD,
                   THE FUND BALANCE SHALL BE REIMBURSED THE
                   ADVANCEMENT FROM THE FUNDING SOURCES FOR THE
                   PROJECT.
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Carter Street Corporation be and 

       is hereby authorized to contract with Derthick, Henley & 
Wilkerson
       and William McDonough, Architects, relative to architectural and
       planning services for the expansion of the Trade Center, at a
       total cost not to exceed $200,000.00, half of which is to be paid 

       by Hamilton County and half of which will be paid by the City; 
and
       	    	 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That there be and is hereby
       authorized payment of the City's half, which sum is to be paid
       from the Fund Balance; and
       	    	 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this authorization is
       conditioned on the fund balance being reimbursed from the funding 

       sources for the project if the project goes forward.
